9 Months Old!

Okay be prepared, there are a ton of pictures on this post. But who doesn't want to see cute pictures of little miss Callie? :) She is 9 months old today. We went to the Pediatrician for a checkup. Here are her stats:

Weight: 18.1 lbs. (38 %)
Height: 27 in. (32 %)
Head Circumference: 17 in. (27 %)

She loves the book, "Oh The Thinks You Can Think" by Dr. Seuss

LOVE this picture :)

Hahaha do you like Callie's mohawk? I've been trying to get rid of her "cradles cap" so I put olive oil on her scalp...still didn't work. Any suggestions??

Callie fell asleep in her toy...

So cute. :)

We were on the web cam with my family on Sunday and I was taking pictures so they could see how she smiles for the camera! :-) I LOVE this smile!

Sunday night she kept waking up screaming like she was in pain, so we held her for a little bit to calm her down. Her face gets blotchy like mine does when I cry, even if I've only been crying for a minute.

And yet, she still smiles for the camera. :-)

Taken this morning, before we all went to her Doctors appointment...

She loves playing with Andrew's hair...and likes pulling mine. :(

A fun date night after a great day!

Smiles

About a month ago Callie started smiling for pictures. We were getting ready to go outside and wait for Andrew, as he was coming home from school, and I just wanted to take a few pictures of Callie in her cute snowsuit. And then I noticed something...she smiled for EVERY PICTURE...as soon as the orange light came on (the "get ready" light), she smiled. SO STINKIN' CUTE!

Hahaha she is so funny! and yes, this is a smile. A very LARGE smile...throughout her face. :)

Waiting outside for dad...

Andrew thought it was pretty funny. And she did too. :)

Our experiment...just to make sure she was smiling because of the flash.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving break was nice and relaxing. We ended up staying home and doing our own thing this year. We were planning on going to Utah but then there were a few blizzards and we didn't want to drive in it or be on the roads. So we just hung out and had the whole week together. Which was so nice!

Andrew was in charge of cooking the turkey and making mashed potatoes and his dads famous gravy. Everything turned out PERFECT! And the gravy was SO DELICIOUS!!

Callie just played with her toys while we were in the kitchen. She is so good!

Our Thanksgiving dinner.

Doesn't Callie look so big in this picture?

Callie's Thanksgiving dinner :) She liked playing with the potatoes better than eating them. haha

My cousin Aubrey and her little family came here on Sunday. Her sister Alyssa has been going to school here this fall, so they were just bringing her back, after their Thanksgiving vacation in Montana. It was so nice to see them! And I finally got to meet their little boy, Parker, who's 3 months old now. And they finally got to meet Callie, who's 8 1/2 months!

Parker and Callie :)

We got our family pictures taken last Saturday, by Kate Mower. She's amazing, that's all I have to say.

Update on what Callie's up to

I cannot believe it's already November! Especially since it's still in the 60's in REXBURG! However, next week we should be getting snow. :( Anyways, Callie is developing such a FUN personality! She's still always happy and content, but some of the things she does is just so funny. I find it so cute that she finally understands what I'm doing and does it back. :)

Callie loves playing with her socks...and chewing on them. :)

I LOVE this picture. Lately she's been scrunching her nose when she smiles. So funny! :) And she's finally learning how to sit up...with our help.

We didn't dress up for Halloween this year. We bought some pumpkins to carve, but didn't feel like doing it. So instead we made maple bars (delicious!!) and:

carameled apples!

One day I turned the little heater on, and found that Callie had rolled over to it and just laid in front of it for a while. So cute! :)

We're trying to teach her how to crawl...we thought this might help. :-)

This picture has nothing to do with the post. But it's so stinkin' cute! :) Callie playing in the clean diapers...she loves being in there!

Friday, I woke up around 6am feeling nauseous. No, I'm NOT pregnant. I had the flu, and so did Andrew and Callie. I threw up 4-5 times in the morning/afternoon, along with other things... and Andrew started feeling sick during his class in the afternoon. After I fed Callie in the morning, this is what happened:

Poor girl. It came out of her nose too. :( There was SO MUCH and it was EVERYWHERE! And now my shirt is ruined...

This happened tonight, right in the middle of her feeding. I feel bad I was laughing, but it shot clear up onto my head. Gross! I'm not sure if she has the flu still or was just so full, but all i have to say is that she's an amazing girl! She just smiled and pretended like nothing happened, both times. And Andrew and I were complaining all day Friday that we were SO ACHY and felt SO SICK! What babies we are! What a fun date night! :)

A year ago, today, I started working at the Retreat, Salon & Tanning. Everyone who lives in Rexburg Housing (11 apartment complexes) gets free haircuts, manicures, and pedicures, and tanning is only $10 for the semester! How awesome is that!! It was the best job I've ever had!..well except for being a nanny. haha.

The salon is in one of the apartment complexes, Birch Plaza.

The inside...

Well as some of you may not know, I quit July 23rd. It was a wonderful experience and I actually loved working! Everyone here is so kind, thoughtful, and friendly! A few guys even offered to sweep up their hair afterwards, when I was pregnant!

But Andrew and I prayed about it and felt it was right for me to quit and be a stay-at-home mom. I LOVE being with Callie all day, every day! I LOVE having time to do things I wasn't able to do/didn't want to do, while I was working (crafts, cleaning everyday, cooking everyday, etc.). I LOVE Andrew for being so wonderful and wanting me to be at home with Callie, even though we won't be able to afford the fun things as much anymore. But this is who I get to be with all day:

We just got this for her a couple days ago. She gets so excited playing with all the toys.

haha

This is the BEST JOB EVER!!!
