Tea Party!!

My neighbor, Jessica, threw a tea party, and invited a few girls...including me! :) We had it in our backyard, and it was AMAZING!! We had tea, of course, tiny sandwiches (sooo delicious!), cinnamon rolls (also very delicious!), and some fruit. It was seriously SO MUCH FUN!! We talked about girlie things, our husbands, etc... and ate!

(L-R) Emily, Sascha, Ryann, and Jessica

After the tea party, we went to Jessica's (in the front of the house) and made these awesome calendars. She has a vinyl business and is amazing at it! What a fun night!!

Our Garden!!

I've never had a garden before and wanted to try it. There was a little corner in our backyard that was full of weeds, so I was pretty sure it wasn't being used. Our landlord was fine with us using it. I had a great time planting everything with Andy too!

Our 5x5 Garden. Cucumbers are on the right, and tomatoes are in front.

Our yummy tomatoes!!

Green Beans are on the left (we got a lot of those!!), broccoli in the back, and carrots in the front. We didn't know we were only supposed to put one seed in each hole for the carrots...instead we put like 10. Bad idea!! We got back from Washington and there were like 10 baby carrots growing out of each hole! :) So we ended up pulling most of them out so the others could have room to grow. It's been exciting having a garden!

Monkey Rock

WE FINALLY MADE IT TO MONKEY ROCK!!...Thanks to the Anderson's!! There were 4 couples: Us, the Anderson's, Haralson's, and the Smith's (i think that's their last name...?)

Not the greatest picture...and I have no clue what they're doing. :) Maybe finding rocks?

Andy

Janelle and Dave...ooh they're sooo cute!!

The water was FREEZING!!!!! But it felt nice to cool off. And the guys had a fun time seeing who could throw the rock the furthest. Fun to watch!

Summer Fun with the Smith Family (Mid August, 2009)

We stayed with my family for about a week after the Oregon reunion. We went to the lake a lot, went tubing, played games...we had a great time with them!

The crazy man behind the wheel... ;)

Andy, Corey, and Zach

Brady, Tim, and Hannah (Brady's friend)

Oregon Family Reunion (August 11-16, 2009)

We had a family reunion with Andrew's immediate family, in Lincoln City, Oregon. We all stayed in a condo (i think), and spent a lot of time together. We played games, went to the beach, ate a lot of candy, went to the outlet malls, and played volleyball on the beach. We had a great time! Thanks Jim and Paula for everything!!

The day we got there it rained...weird huh? Grant was already soaked, but thought it would help if he pulled his shorts up for the waves. So funny and cute!

Neat picture of Charlie, Jordan, Andy, Katie, Alex, and Sam (I can't really tell who the 2 on the right are, but I think it's Alex and Sam). This is how they were sitting when I got back from getting the camera.

Seeing who's tough...

Oh, I love Sam...

Us...

Seeing who's tough again...

It looks like Jordan and Andy won

Andy's so good with his nieces and nephews!

Fishing with Papa (Early August, 2009)

I don't think the Hansen boys knew what they were in for when they went fishing with Papa...it ended up being a mile and a half walk going to the fishing spot, and a mile and a half back to the car. It was pretty fun though.

I thought this was a good picture of them...

Sam and "his" binoculars

Haha, Charlie got his arm stuck in the life jacket. It was entertaining watching him trying to get it out, but then he started getting frustrated. Andy helped him free his arm.

Andy getting Charlies hair wet...what a nice uncle. :) I think Charlie actually liked it.

The boys mostly played in the water, which I'm sure they regretted later, when they had to walk up a dirt trail. What fun and entertaining boys they are! We had a good time with them.

Elmer Family Reunion (July 27-30, 2009)

We had a HUGE family reunion on Andrew's side. It was Grammy's family...Andrew's dad and his 4 brothers and their families. One brother and his wife is on a mission in California right now, so they weren't able to make it.

We had it in Utah at this huge cabin. It was perfect for so many people!
(Photo courtesy of Jamie :) )

We all had the same t-shirt with a number on the back. Each number represented when you came into the family. Grammy is #1, Jim is #2, I was #85!! There's like 89 people total, starting with Grammy, her boys, their wives, their kids, their grad kids, and so on.

I think it's so wonderful to see this family all together. Everyone is active, the guys have gone on missions, everyone is doing what Heavenly Father wants them to do. How proud Grammy must be! And this is how I hope our family will be like someday.

We went rock climbing a few times, played volleyball, went swimming in the pool, the kids had a money dig, and we played lots of games!

Zach and Andy climbing to the top...

Titus playing with a toy gun...I love how he held it in his shorts!

Smith Family Visits (July 24, 2009)

My family came and visited us for 2 days, on their way back to Spokane. It was so nice to see them and for them to see where we live.

This is when we went to Big Judds for dinner...my dad let Andy drive the RV. And thank goodness we made it home! They're also trying to look cool...

We had a lot of fun bowling at the REX. The boys did pretty good too!

Me and my mom...

Zach and Brady stayed with us for a week and a half. They stayed at Aunt Liesl's house, while we had a family reunion in Utah for a few days. Then we went back home and hung out. The day before we went to Spokane, Zach and Andy went to a friends house and played video games, while Brady and I stayed home and played cards, hung out, and walked to the Temple. We wrote in our journals while we were there, and then we read each others. I was so amazed at what he had written! Brady has such a strong testimony and spirit about him.

We had a great time with them, even though I'm sure it was boring at times for them. We're glad they came!

Yellowstone (July 22, 2009)

We spent the day with Zach and Steffanie's family at Yellowstone. What a great family. We had a blast with them!

Me, Andy, Titus, Aden, Attie, Zach, and Julia at Big Springs. It's on the way to Yellowstone, and it's so beautiful!

Andy told us to hug each other like sisters...

We waited in traffic for almost TWO HOURS because there was a baby buffalo in the road! I guess everyone had to take a picture, since there weren't enough buffalo already...

We thought this was SO CUTE!!

WE'RE PREGNANT!!

So most of you know...I'm pregnant! We found out in the beginning of August, and we are SO EXCITED!! I am now 11 weeks pregnant. I even saved the test, and took a picture: :)

This morning we went to the Madison Women's Clinic to get an Ultrasound. Wow. What a neat thing to see, especially when it's your baby. Just in case you don't know, on the right is the head. We could see it's profile so clearly. Amazing! And the doctors even gave us a DVD of the whole thing...even the baby moving! I didn't know they did that...

In this picture, the head is on the left side. You can see the arm too! The baby was so fascinating...it kept sliding up and down and moving it's arms and legs. SO CUTE! This just made it so real. We love our baby!!
